If you are in charge of Work, Health Safety on site don’t miss next week’s highly charged and informative MBA Cronulla meet which falls on World Day for Safety and Health at Work Day.

We have a powerful line up of guest speakers sharing real stories about the impact of when an accident occurs on site.

Along with vital information about Work, Health and Safety, you’ll be taking home safety goodie bags from our Sponsor, BC Sands, and much more.

See you there: 6.00pm Thursday 28 April, Tradies Club – Gymea.

The next MBA Cronulla meet will be held at 6.00pm next Thursday 28 April, on World Day for Safety and Health at Work Day.

To mark the importance of safety and health in the workplace, we have arranged for Mark Parsons, Managing Director of BC Sands, to talk about a serious workplace incident that at occurred at BC Sands back in 2013. Mark will be sharing about the lessons learned and the ongoing ramifications of the event.

We also have James who was a diesel mechanic with his whole life ahead of him, when a workplace accident caused him to break his back and damage to his spinal cord. James, who is now a paraplegic, will be sharing his personal story but with a particular focus on how we need to all  be responsible in the prevention of accidents in our own workplace – so bring your team along.

Finally, we are excited to have Ted Brincat speak. He will present on a different but equally informative topic of how to properly gather evidence for defects to enforce a back charge.

We hope to see you for this important industry meeting. Please note you don’t need to be an MBA member to attend.
